BECOME A JOONDALUP MEN’S SHED MATE

The JMS is rapidly outgrowing its current facility on which its tenure expires in 2022. While that may seem a long time away, the JMS must accumulate sufficient funds in its building account to construct a purpose-built facility. The JMS still needs to find a suitable site for its permanent home. While it would be foolish to estimate the cost of all this due to escalating building costs the figure needed will exceed one million dollars.

As a registered health promotion charity the JMS not only focuses on the fostering better overall health and well being for all men, it also benefits the wider community in countless ways and assists many different community groups.

It is vital that this work to continues but we need your help.

By joining our growing list of “Mates” you will not only help the Joondalup Men’s Shed promote better health and wellbeing for men, your support will extend much wider because you will enable the JMS to assist others in a myriad of ways. In case you thought otherwise, we’re not just a bunch of old blokes “doing our own thing” in the shed. We roll up our sleeves and put our energies and talents to good use helping others.

Whatever level of contribution and support you choose will be appropriately acknowledged with the presentation of the relevant framed certificate. For example, businesses (and individuals) are invited to join the “Mates” program for an annual donation at one of four levels. Importantly, most donations are fully tax deductible. The four levels of membership are:

Apprentice Mate $250/year
Craftsman Mate $500/year
Master Craftsman Mate $1,000/year
The Bosses Mate $5,000+/year

Donations can be in cash or kind and whilst we are encouraging permanent Mates, we also welcome one-off Mates.

Our Mates are recognised on a Mates’ Wall which we are developing in the Shed. Links on our website will also be provided to the various businesses.
