Overview Our motto is our short way of saying what JMS is all about: “Blokes Building Better Communities!” As a registered health promotion charity JMS not only focuses on the fostering better overall health and well-being for all men, it also benefits the wider community in countless ways and assists many different community groups. This has an obvious beneficial ripple effect for our members’ families and the wider community. Joondalup Men’s Shed (JMS) is the local representative and a registered member of the  Men’s Sheds Of WA.  The JMS Patron is Mr. Ian Goodenough, MBA, BComm and Federal Member for Moore. We are located at 17 Winton Road, Joondalup, WA.   General Business hours are from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm (meeting times for Men).   JMS also sponsors Women Associates (know as “Joondalup Women’s Shed”) who share the Shed Facilities and meet at different times (not considered General Business hours).   Check out the Women’s Shed tab. “Riving the past, driving the future” JMS aim to refurbish a 1975 Dodge Truck. The project is part of our mission to promote community engagement and preserve history. All members of the JMS and local community have been invited to become involved, engaging people with disabilities, social isolation promoting health and well being. Once complete the van will be used with the community to promote.

As the Joondalup Men’s Shed is totally funded from membership subscriptions and the occasional grant, we depend on the generosity of the community to help us with projects like this. The picture below show the “Barn Find” base vehicle and the proposed finished vehicle.  [Read More]
